Four ships converge on one small independent colony through the Gateway. The Endeavor is escorted by ADF battleship Canopus to ancient alien ruins on the planet Mavros, while the GLF has called upon the Revenge and Wayfarer to help the colonists. After a few uneasy days hanging around town, tampering with dormant tech leads to dire consequences. Once the dust settles, the colonists are reluctantly persuaded to rejoin the Alliance under less than ideal conditions - but the GLF will remember the pressure they were under.
old grudges come to the forefront when the sparrowhawk and dauntless clash beyond the gateway, both competing against one another to possess the mysterious alien artifact the enke velzael. together they fight through crumbling alien ruins - but come across warnings about the artifact. when vash claims it for the sparrowhawk, a new villain appears and now both crews must work together to escape before the temple becomes their tomb.
friend of the ship and peacekeeper charley xcii needs the crew of the sparrowhawk to help him catch a violent murderer named katjac yakovna. they are to infiltrate a belos hovercar racing gang known as the razors lead by their suspect, and must win their approval. then it's time to do what the sparrowhawk does best: perform a high octane heist and catch katjac red handed.
En route to scouting a planet on the other side of the gateway, the Endeavor is drawn into an inescapable wormhole and seemingly trapped in an unknown pocket of space where time has reached a standstill! While they work on repairs, tensions start to rise on the ship. After making contact with other ships stuck in the void, they eventually figure out a way to reopen the wormhole and free everyone.
What at first seems like a massive April Fools' hoax becomes apparently real: station residents have been body swapped! For over a week, a large portion of Terminus' population experience what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes, with varying reactions to the changes, until they're suddenly put back in their own places. Eventually, it turns out to be the work of a mysterious and powerful alien entity, X'ppur, who leaves behind a playful mark on the station.
The Wayfarer heads to Scheria for a transport job. The twist? The veskalt material they're hauling is incredibly volatile, requiring the ship to fly to the facility in Pejitei at a slow speed, making them vulnerable to attack. After fending off road bandits, the crew arrives at the refinery, only to face betrayal by the plant's manager. Sticho's rigged the place to blow, and it's up to the crew to save the day.
The Dauntless tracks down the source of a mysterious alien ichor, while the Endeavor follows an energy signal, resulting in both ships arriving through the Gateway to Innsmouth, a planet covered in fog and ancient ruins. Their combined explorations of a local temple slowly chip away at the crews' sanity, leading some to fall under the thrall of the ichor and the call of the Deep. It's up to those still clear-minded to rescue their comrades and prevent the rise of the Great Old One.
while climate control usually keeps the station comfortable, temperatures begin to rise on terminus, leading to complications and growing public unrest. the situation reaches a boiling point upon discovering that a new public art installation is the cause of the overload, everyone cooling off only after it's torn down.
all the times they've pissed people off comes back to bite the sparrowhawk crew in the ass, as a normal week on the station is disrupted by a bunch of their (self-proclaimed) enemies, out for petty revenge. but they aren't working alone: it turns out their temporary alliance has been orchestrated by a familiar face.
after a year of possession from an unknown alien entity, dr. fletcher fenn can resist its call no longer and builds a miniature gateway in his gasworks warehouse. the endeavor crew must follow to rescue him, and discover that he's been called to a strange floating alien station in the far reaches of space. they work together to locate fletcher and to free him, but come face to face with an old nemesis: the nok. ultimately, the creator aliens possessing fletcher assist him with unlocking huge vaults across thousands of different planets, initiating new exploration for the endeavor.
friend of the crew jonn tavik enlists the sparrowhawk to break into an abandoned casino in the middle of the once irradiated nibiru wastelands and crack the sealed vault. but the journey isn't easy, requiring the thieves to use their wits and skill to travel through the bombed out city, slip past century old traps, and other lurking biohazards. after fighting off raiders, the crew manages to get away with a massive cache of credit chips.
the wayfarer respond to a distress signal on the outskirts of penglai space and find a ship dead in the water. things seem to be amiss, but before they can put two and two together, they're waylaid by an alliance navy patrol ship that suspects them of committing the crime. unfortunately for everyone, the reality isn't that simple. the alien ship is victim to a finusian zombie virus, and both crews must work together to avoid getting eaten!
chaos comes to town again as station residents wake up to new lives - or at least different lives from what they're used to. the week plays out almost like a holofilm, seeming to follow some familiar fictional tropes from a variety of popular media genres, culminating in an extravagant mash-up party to remember.
the dauntless and endeavor crew gear up for snow in one final, festive, frosty training session before the winter holiday break and year's end.
